Deepak Perwani’s Zeniya Lawn takes the Summer of 2014 by Storm

Summer is here and the metropolis’ roads are spilling with lawn print advertisement billboards. The collaboration of textile mills and designers is now a few years old, yet the fashionable woman is always in quest for lawn prints which are unique and truly ‘designer’ wear.

Who wants to pay through the nose for mundane, garish prints claiming to be designer wear, which have no theme or exude no personality? After all a smart woman who wishes to wear an exclusive print wants to stand out.

Enter Deepak Perwani and his collaboration with the Zeniya Group, which works with international brands such as Perry Ellis and Van Heusen. “Zeniya by Deepak Perwani” is a lawn series with character, colour and flair.

After his launch of the Zeniya collection on 19th April 2014, Deepak is making his rounds on morning shows to tell the world about his new launch and revealed on one interview that his inspiration for Zeniya has been traditional Eastern motifs which have always been part of the apparel in this part of the world. But these motifs and prints have been presented in a fresh, contemporary look, in striking colours in the Zeniya lawn collection. Deepak pays homage to the culture of the subcontinent yet his appeal as always is to the modern woman of today who looks for style.

From spectacular shades of greens, pinks and reds to blues, rusts and oranges on classic blacks and cool whites—this is one lawn series for women which is truly a breath of fresh air in the onslaught of this summer heat. Peppered with just the right balance of embroidery and colour, with lovely cool flowing dupattas, Deepak’s lawn is a far cry from congested lawn prints which the market is over flowing with.
