There is a question in each and every mind that why women’s fashion is so focused rather than men’s? If thought, then maybe it is an unintentional and unplanned result of Feminism…
Due to Feminism and awareness of Women’s Rights many opportunities have opened up for ladies; not just career opportunities but even social life have widened comparatively. However, these roles have not affected conventional roles of women; hence women today are not just daughters, sisters, wives and mothers but also students, friends, colleagues, mentors, employee and/or bosses.
Hence this might be the reason of women’s style being the highlight of Fashion Industry. And maybe, that is why you see categories under women’s wear in a designer’s store or e-store such as Seasonal Collections, Formals, Evening Wears, Fashion Shows and the important of all; Wedding Couture.
Even Pakistan’s Fashion Industry has paid attention to women’s wear. The leading Pakistani Designer; Deepak Perwani has made all occasional dresses available under the single brand’s roof. But it is not only on women’s fashion that this brand has focused on; it equally focuses on men’s fashion.
You would see that Deepak Perwani’s men section has got all occasional dresses like casual, traditional, western, wedding couture and the unique blend of western and eastern design.
Thus, it is not only women’s fashion that designers focus on because they know fashion for men is equally valued!
